LED is with high efficient, ledss power output. You may found there are many led grow lights on the maket named 1000w, but only consume about 100w. HID is powerful, 1000W HID consume 1000W. More power means more intense light.
Blue Red Light, Good for Plants, Bad for Grower
Plants need blue lights, they are very sensitive to it in vegetative stages, red to flowering stages. But they arenot friendly to our eyes. But this can be prevent, you could wear glasses.
